Your controls
Choose by purpose
Necessary technology supports page delivery, security, form protection and storage of your choice. Audience analytics, partner product photos and advertising are off by default and require separate, affirmative permission. Rejecting them does not hide or restrict editorial content or affiliate links.
You can change or withdraw a choice at any time from the floating Privacy button or the footer on every page. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, advertising, sale/share and targeted-advertising processing remain opted out for that browser.
Technology list
What may be stored or loaded
| Technology | Provider | Category and purpose | Typical duration or trigger |
|---|---|---|---|
na_privacy_choices_v1 in local storage | Nuevo Adventure | Necessary. Records analytics, partner-media and advertising choices, sale/share opt-out, GPC status, policy version and save date. | Up to 180 days, until the policy version changes, or until you clear site data. |
| Request and security logs | Vercel | Necessary. Delivers pages and endpoints, prevents abuse and diagnoses errors. This is server processing, not a browser cookie set by Nuevo Adventure. | Controlled by Vercel’s configured log and security retention. |
| Temporary privacy-form rate limit | Nuevo Adventure / Vercel serverless function | Necessary when the form is used. A one-way IP-derived hash and timestamps deter automated abuse. | Normally no more than one hour in volatile server memory. |
_ga | Google Analytics 4 | Audience analytics. Distinguishes browsers for site-use measurement. Not set until analytics permission. | Typically up to 2 years, subject to Google configuration and browser limits. |
_ga_<container-id> | Google Analytics 4 | Audience analytics. Maintains session state. Not set until analytics permission. | Typically up to 2 years, subject to Google configuration and browser limits. |
__gads, __gpi, __eoi, FCNEC, _gcl_au and similar ad identifiers where used | Google AdSense and participating vendors | Advertising. Ad delivery, frequency, fraud prevention, consent, measurement and—only when allowed—personalization. | Varies by identifier and vendor; the current certified consent message provides vendor and duration details. |
| Google TCF/GPP or Privacy & messaging consent records, where enabled | Google certified consent platform | Necessary for recording a regional choice; optional purposes remain controlled by that choice. | Until the message is updated, consent must be refreshed, or browser data is cleared, subject to Google settings. |
| Amazon product media and associate link | Amazon | External affiliate content. The product catalog is requested by our server; an Amazon-hosted image or link can expose ordinary connection and referral data to Amazon. | When partner media is allowed or the product link is followed. Amazon controls any resulting storage. |
| Viator product media and affiliate link | Viator | External affiliate content. Loads current activity imagery and sends referral attribution when the link is followed. | When partner media is allowed or the activity link is followed. Viator controls any resulting storage. |
| Affiliate referral identifiers | SafetyWing and Travelpayouts advertisers including Airalo and Yesim | External affiliate content. Records that a visit, booking or purchase followed our recommendation. | Only after you follow the partner link; the destination partner controls the duration. |
| OpenStreetMap iframe and map resources | OpenStreetMap | External map content. Supplies the interactive map and receives ordinary connection data. | Only after you press “Load map”; OpenStreetMap controls any resulting storage. |
Before consent
How optional technology is blocked
The privacy script sets Google Consent Mode signals for analytics storage, ad storage, ad user data, ad personalization, functionality storage and personalization storage to denied before other application scripts run. GA4 and the AdSense library are then inserted only after the matching permission. No box is preselected. “Reject all” and “Allow all” are available on the first layer, and “Choose separately” opens granular controls.
When you withdraw permission, we update the denial signals, stop future optional loading, disable GA4 collection and attempt to delete accessible first-party Google cookies. Browser restrictions mean we cannot directly erase HTTP-only or third-party cookies, so you may also clear site data in the browser or use the partner’s controls.
Advertising consent
Google’s certified regional message
Google requires publishers serving personalized ads in the EEA, United Kingdom and Switzerland to use a Google-certified consent management platform integrated with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. Where Google’s certified Privacy & messaging notice is configured and available, its vendor- and purpose-level controls take precedence for Google advertising. Our local panel remains available for Nuevo Adventure analytics and as a privacy control when the certified message is not present.
The current ad-technology vendor list can change. Review it in the Google consent message and see Google’s explanation of European regulations messages.
External content
Maps, product images and outbound partners
Destination maps are click-to-load. Editorial destination images and fonts are served from Nuevo Adventure’s own domain. Product and activity media may be hosted by Amazon or Viator and are treated as optional partner content. Following any affiliate link leaves Nuevo Adventure; the destination site receives ordinary browser-request and referral data and applies its own privacy and cookie policy.
Browser controls
Other ways to control storage
You can delete site data, block third-party cookies or use private browsing. Blocking all local storage may prevent the site from remembering your choice, so the consent banner may appear again. Browser privacy extensions can also shorten retention or block partner media. Read the Privacy Policy or submit a request through the privacy request form.
